Wycombe Swan Visual I's Proposal

Wycombe Swan- The VIP Campaign

The idea of this campaign is to get the visually impaired children to meet the celebrities/stars on stage with a tour, it will make them feel great and special.

Wycombe Swan- New Logo Designs

Keeping to the KISS principle I have created a series of very simple but recognisable logos

Wycombe Swan- KISS

Keeping
It
Simple
Stupid

After discussing with Mrs Stower, she taught me of a concept that advertisers know called KISS this means that I take the cheesy-ness out of my logos, furthermore she told me it was an easy mistake to make when the bright colours were only there so the visually impaired may see it better.

Wycombe Swan- Poster Idea

Shop Front- Height Of Logo

What the Shop Front may look like

This will need to be placed close enough to ground level so that it can be touched by the visually impaired, maybe I will also need a sign saying "Touch Me"- The braille may also be in the yellow bit or a colourful bit where the visually impaired amy be able to make out that it is there. Futhermore for the completely blind I may need some audio or someone to point it out.

Wycombe Swan- Logo (Adapted For A Poster)

Because my target market is the visually impaired, the Wycombe Swan Logo still needs to be aesthetically pleasing to them, while helping them to see it but still retains the logos main image.

Investigating Shop Fronts and Posters

Shop Fronts

Usually shops use these to portray new products or sales, they also entice buyers into the shop by this front as it is what people see when walking down a high street. However these usually are quite boring and something different, new and unique will attract a great amount of people.

Posters
Posters, on the other hand are already much more interesting they use either, shock tactics or plain persuasive devices to entice you in making you want something or feeling you need something, or you can be surprised and drawn in by something new, great and realistic.

Visual I's Logo Ideas

After many ideas of the Visual I's logo, my favourites are the ones in the top left, middle left and bottom right, I may need to develop or make a choice of one of these later.

Wycombe Swan- A Vulgar Idea Including Touch

With the swan as the main symbol/trademark of Wycombe maybe something that involve the senses is a feather or swan that can be felt by anyone who wants to, outside in a public space or shop front.
I even could create a small advert/handout/leaflet which is a feather-for stereotypically young visually impaired girls- to place in their hair or touch:

Wycombe Swan- Socially Including a new Target Audience

The Wycombe Swan Theatre already includes sign language performances and the Visually Impaired are slightly included with tour guides but I feel aren't included enough, this means that I can adapt the audience to this by my advertising campaign. I intend to use something physical and something digital while including the senses, I like the idea of a swan that can be touched and that has either braille implemented on it or the shop window. Furthermore with this my other form of media may be a digital video or poster where the braille will be imprinted around and on the window for the impaired to interact with.

Physical Interaction-Visually Impaired and/or Successful Ad Campaigns

Successful Advertising Campaigns

These successful advert Campaigns show a level of digital and physical work-exactly what I am going for- not only that will be remembered that will also be interactive to a new/extended target audience. I believe I have narrowed these down to either the visually impaired where I can use brail or the hearing impaired where the image speaks for itself without a jingle or sound to go with it.

Wycombe Swan Building

Here this building could be recognised as a trademark or something usable in this advertising the circular structure could be artwork in itself

Wycombe History and the Council

The council has a news page on the website but only promotes the wycombe museum, they also give a place where you can upload your news opinions on things.

But what is the history of the swan logo?

It goes back to 1444 where the Earl of Stafford had the swan as his family crest, the association between the swan and the county carried on forever after his death in 1460.

In my promotion, could i find any way to link this swan and its heritage to wycombe to the celebrities at the theatre?

Wycombe Swan- The Brand

This is a simple logo and brand for the wycombe swan, however when seen lots of people can relate to it and/or understand it easier.

How can I adapt this logo to a promotion or different target audience? Do I concentrate on the Swan symbol itself or on the fact that lots of celebrities are involved?

Maybe my promotion can be a digital poster but also with a jingle or physical piece extension with it.
